How to Keep Your Kitchen Clean At All Times
Keeping a clean and sanitize kitchen is very important, this is where all of your meals come from, and the last place where you would want to catch any food poisoning.
Start by always washing your hands before starting a meal preparation or even snacking. Remember your hands are bacteria carriers, keep them clean.
When cooking make sure not to use the same knife to cut poultry, fish, meat or vegetables. Raw meat has a lot of bacteria that can be very harmful if meat is not cook thoroughly, by using the same knife, cutting board or plate in vegetable/salads preparations you risk the chance of contracting a stomach bug, that will leave you sick for several days or in some cases take you to the hospital. Separate meat from vegetables and fruit at all times, and wash your hands when switching between them as well.
Wash as you go! To avoid a huge pile of dishes after cooking, clean up as you cook, start loading the dishwasher with items you are not longer going to use in your preparation, and clean counter tops when you are done using the cooking areas. At the end of the meal you will only be left with silverware, plates and glasses. Easy task!
After you are done cooking and eating make sure to disinfect your kitchen by using cleaning wipes or a towel with dish soap to clean counter tops, and appliances. Make sure to remove any grease stains in your stove right away, the fastest you take them out the less time they have to stick.
Try to see this hard working task as a workout, you are burning calories by washing dishes, loading the dishwasher, lifting plates and light machines. Put some music and you will be done in no time!
